Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American artist, filmmaker and publisher, as well as a co-founder and most important representative of American Pop Art. His career began in the 1950s as a graphic designer and illustrator for fashion, glossy and lifestyle magazines and developed quickly. He left behind an extensive body of work, ranging from advertising graphics to paintings, objects, films and books. He also worked as a music producer.
